DISTRICT AUDITIONS WHAT: 2024-2025 CDMMEA District Concert Choir and Honor Choir Students selected for the CDMMEA District Concert or Honor Choir will have the opportunity to rehearse and perform with top high school singers from central Missouri under the direction of Mr. Jason Martin (Concert) or Mr. Mark Lawley (Honor).
Students will prepare a segment of music from the list of pieces linked below. There are eight options for each voice part.
Tracks are included as well and are cut to the required length if need be (you do not necessarily prepare the whole song).
In addition, students will be asked to sight read.
WHEN/WHERE
AUDITIONS: Saturday, September 21 at Osage High School. We will bus down together that day. Audition times will be released in early September.
MANDATORY REHEARSAL: If selected for District or Honor Choir, students are required to attend the rehearsal on Tuesday, November 5 in the evening in order to participate in the festival. We will bus down to St. James High School for this rehearsal. Music needs to be 90% learned by this day.
FESTIVAL: The festival will take place all day on Saturday, November 9 at Waynesville High School. The concert is at 5pm and is free and open to the public. Hope to see you there!!
ALL-STATE AUDITIONS WHAT: 2024-2025 Missouri All-State Choir This is a highly competitive audition opportunity. Students selected for the Missouri All-State Choir will have the opportunity to perform at the Missouri Music Educators Conference in January.
Students must prepare the required selection of music on their voice part (must be the same voice part as District Choir Auditions).
In addition, students will be asked to sight read.

Only juniors & seniors who are selected for the District Honor Choir are eligible to audition for All-State.
WHEN/WHERE: Students will audition at the Tuesday night rehearsal for District Choirs on November 8 at Rolla High School.
